G. T. Orwick ( Denver, CO USA ) I bought this computer, there are about 6 months to complete / storage / maintenance of my digital photos while traveling. After a tour in 2800 x 10MP photo of Italy, joins a family of 4 and 9 other computer. Since then, another member of the family bought an Asus Eee for personal use. Our home computer was first put into service in 1981 and 3 of us are professionals and ask price / performance ratio and is constantly updated by more than 25 years.
The device is compact, yet powerful enough and easy to use WiFi with a good ability, very good battery (replacement battery> 4 hours, plus $ 70 add-on is running about 9 hours) Nice Webcam and microphone, enough memory (but for $ 30, I went to a 2 GB module), and even an SD slot, which makes it easy to download and store photos on my 160GB hard drive. I was also impressed by the video card that can bring to the screen beyond its physical size, and run a second monitor to add real estate office and 32M colors at 1600x1200. I recommend an external USB mouse, which is faster than the touchpad (the plans, the touchpad is easier, unless you're sitting next to someone who loves to spend rodents turn).
My business problem that the right "Shift", which is the same letter, the key size and the right side of the keyboard. So my little finger just seems to hit the "^" key more often "Shift" until I used for some time "every time. If this was only my keyboard, I'm sure I've used and have no problem in a couple of days. Yes, for editing photos and video, games, streaming Slingbox HD TV and not other computers hard work, I use a 64-bit quad, but the Eee is fine for normal use and great for travel. It 'also handy to have sitting next to the television looking for entertainment, actors, etc., while the tube display.
