Steven J. Miller Year Best computer I bought, I bought this netbook in April, before a long trip. Exceeded all my expectations: the 1000HE worked right out of the box. Everything has been done to remove the evaluation software (except for programs of Star Office) and upgrade the RAM to 2GB.
Battery life is described by the manufacturer. E 'can run more than 9 1 / settings of at least 2 hours. Not only was sufficient for word processing, spreadsheets and communication and web surfing is also good for video playback and ripping. E 'can also perform NWN I, even if the video settings to minimum. Overall, it is more difficult to free the computer that I got my MacBook last one died in the mid-nineties.

Reviews Stuff ( Encino, CA ) I ordered the Asus EeePC 1000HE from amazon.com that I flew to the United States on a flight with Wi-Fi. I could barely type on my big 17-inch Dell laptop, as I placed the order. Once I made the purchase I was looking forward to the arrival of my netbook and imagine how it would be nice not having to carry my huge computer around me. I was very pleased with this netbook for the last 5 months of use. I configured to dual boot with Windows XP and Ubuntu 9.04. I also upgraded the RAM to 2 GB with CT25664AC667 Crucial 2 GB DDR2 667 MHz SODIMM 200-pin Laptop Memory. The Linux installation and updating of the RAM are simple processes.
Battery life is advertised as more than 7.5 hours in my typical usage. Chicklet-style keyboard is relatively easy for me to write with my hands larger than average. The screen is small but usable. The multi-touch touch pad works very well. I have some problems resizing the fonts with Ctrl + scroll function. I recommend this netbook to my friends and family. My sister-in-law bought one and he is very happy with it as well.
