I have the HP Mini 311 netbooks, custom configured with 3GB of memory, Windows 7 and the new HP 80GB solid state drive. Overall, a great combination of power and small size, and I never feel like I gained a lot from using my high-powered desktop or laptop conventional.
In terms of build quality, I give it four stars. It seems pretty solid and not too hot outside (important in a small PC like this). The keyboard is comfortable to use, that reminds me a little 'feel of the new Apple Wireless Keyboard. E 'equipped with USB connectors adequate, although some have put a little' closer than I like (I remember a big stick locks). It also has slots for a variety of memory cards - I am a photographer, and I like that I need to take an external drive with me. I am not happy with the standard HP record in the event of plastic, but I think it is a very small complaint.
1.66 with the processor, 3 GB of memory and the SSD is faster to boot ... maybe about 30 seconds with Windows 7, and faster when the recovery from a suspension. I especially like the SSD. It is not only easy, it's cool, almost a kilo lighter than a conventional disk, silent and vibration-free - no one knows when the disk is being accessed unless you look at the disco lights. 80GB is more than enough for me in a small system like this.
Overall, a great choice in a small system you can actually do productive work on.

I took this Netbook from HP (directly from HP online), after testing the Samsung and Acer Aspire One Netbook. The screen is slightly larger and nearly full-size keyboard really makes a difference. Screens 10.1 "Samsung and Acer was a little 'small and without viewing a keyboard rather' difficult. The nearly full-size is wonderful and makes writing easier. As I read in other reviews, the cursor tends to "jump" on page once in a while, but I think it may be due to me accidentally touching the mouse pad while typing (this happens on my Dell 16 "as well). 7 Windows Home Premium is great - I love the new features and interface that recalls the kind of Apple. And that is definitely faster than XP or Vista. Most laptops come with Windows XP or 7 for beginners, in my opinion, has all the new features.
For a little 'more than you would pay for the other netbooks, you get more RAM and hard disk space. This was one of the things that sold me this Netbook. Ion Nvidia makes watching my tv shows online a breeze (I did download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player). This was another reason why I settled on this awesome netbook! Since my purchase HP netbook, I can not use my laptop regularly. I downloaded a program that I use regularly - Adobe 7. And so far it works without problems. I also activated the Office Home and Student 2007 and that has worked very well. Needless to say that surfing the Internet (Gmail, Facebook, YouTube IT) has worked hard.
I'm going to Japan in the spring and can't wait to bring this with me! I am very glad I purchased this netbook!

I expect this netbook "super" with its most powerful graphics processor allows me to do a little 'light editing 720p HD video from my camera, while on the road ... and, in general, to a renewal faster, more capable for the Acer Aspire One 250 that I use for social networking and mobile imaging. I was attracted by a slightly larger screen and keyboard. The screen and the keyboard is all that I expected. A big improvement for the Aspire One
It is significantly faster than my Aspire One in the majority of the shares of Lightroom and Photoshop Elements, and a little 'faster scrolling, etc, and chrome Adobe AIR applications. E 'capable of playing videos full screen Hulu (1-0,1 since Adobe Flash is installed). However, still does not play 720p HD video without problems in Quicktime player ... but it does very well in Windows Media Player. HD editing in every application I tried (and I've tried 4), is painful, even if the application creates proxy files. Windows Movie Maker scans barely. I'm not a player ... so I did not test the machine supposedly stronger ... 3D ... but also the 3D effect in Windows 7 looks a bit 'slow. .. Least made more flexible with them off.
All in all a disappointment. I expected more of how the ONE platform, and ordered the car on the strength of many rave reviews. Mistake. It 'like coming back.

I bought a netbook for my wife, but does not mind getting one for me. This version of the HP 311 has plenty of RAM (2 GB) and hard drive capacity (250GB), and has 7 Windows Home Premium. E 'small and elegant, the keyboard is quite good, and the monitor / resolution is surprisingly good. Installation was simple, automatic, and soon the netbook has been connected to our (hidden) WiFi I called my 46 "Samsung TV (LN46A650) to test the HDMI connector and it looked very good. We have not had the ' opportunity to test the battery life, so I can not comment on that.
BTW, the price quoted in the Amazon was more than $ 600, but I was charged for just over $ 500. Not cheap, but this is probably the best you can come to class.
