Charlotte Newman ( Chicago, IL USA ) I was happy to buy a netbook accessible from a renowned company that was equipped with a decent software. I've had this netbook for a short period of time and everything was perfect, until one day he could not start. I contacted Gateway to solve the problem, hoping to drive a simple reboot. I was able to get a real person on the phone and encouraged the automatic messages of correspondence via e-mail. Seeing that the netbook is unusable, the contact was difficult. I was able to report the problem, but have been pushed to the past 2 weeks with the suggestions that have not or do not relate to the issue. I had to repeat my position with each answer and still have nothing to show. They were very reluctant to meet my request to send my netbook for the analysis and exchange of new one. The netbook is still under warranty, but it proved useless. This race was all very frustrating and I sincerely regret ever buying a product gateway.
Please note that the product itself was wonderful, when in working condition and the problem with my netbook particular, do not represent all products from Gateway. However, bearing in mind that if there is any problem or defect with the product that has a resolution (if not all), will have much time.

Ronald V. Filippone ( Spingdale, AR ) It works great! Nice speed! The clarity is great to build in webcam and has little or no delay, most of webcams that you can move, then 30 seconds later shows on the go, is not well with this. It is true also connected to my wireless network and I walked around the house and out, talking about the Internet and has never lost or had a coonection poor. Thus, for some, too .... I love it and get more for the rest of my family. I have two and have two more!

Emily Moser ( Goldens Bridge, NY ) I really love this netbook! I have a great HP laptop that I absolutely adore, but weighs a bit 'more and it was a pain to bring me back every day. Travel by train, and I'd like to have a computer. I also have a blog, so, while on the train I'm often using my laptop. This netbook is so light and ultra portable that I carry with me everywhere. I'm more for the performance of looks, but this notebook does not seem very nice, the red really makes it more interesting. For the curious about the ability of the computer, I did install Photoshop CS3 here for photos related to lower my blog these. I certainly would not try to do any photoshopping hardcore here, but certainly work well for my needs.

1. I like the red color, sets it apart from other netbooks
2. It runs Ubuntu Netbook Remix 9.10 without a hitch, webcam, mic, wireless and all, kudos to the Ubuntu community
3. It is perfect for bringing it to class and taking notes, and even recording the professor. Battery life with wifi off and screen brightness turned down was about 3:30, which isn't bad for such a small netbook with a small battery

It is small! Consider any Netbook 10.1 in a store before buying. The screen size is a bit 'of adaptation, but it is clear that there are many advantages to a smaller screen. Do not expect to make any game short of flash games and patience. Of course, if you're looking netbook, you should already know that. Anywho, price and style, I have no regrets about this netbook! Buy it! All have the same specifications on anyway, so I let my vanity get the better of me to get to a red.

P. K. Sterling ( Cowtown, TX United States ) Given my previous Gateway notebook powered suffered a violent death, when the phone line was hit by lightning, taking the phone, modem and computer. Since it took almost a week to repair the phone line, I took a couple of days looking for what I wanted in a computer. I considered switching to Mac, but I am a person-oriented text, so that all his amazing art would be wasted. I briefly considered a desktop, but I like the portability. I checked the features of the laptop, spoke of a firefighter's really nice to buy this same model, and decided to go for the Netbook.
For the price of a laptop computer full of highlights again, now I have a beautiful and easily portable running Windows XP Service Pack 3 (yeah!), A monitor 18 "to use the extended desktop, a wireless modem that gives me to work in whatever my house, including my porch and the cave of my husband, the man, and a multi-USB device port CyberPower High-Speed 7-Port USB Hub to connect my ergonomic keyboard and other items.
Things I wish I had done:
1. When the geek squad performed the autopsy on my previous computer and harvested the documents and photos, I should have gone with the external hard drive instead of the DVDs. Will Scarlet does not have a DVD drive, so I had to transfer things to a thumb drive and it was not efficient. Plus, now I have essentially useless DVD archives.
2. Purchased a DVD RW external drive: Would fix problem #2 plus other download issues I have. This is an easy fix, but it would not be necessary if I had thought a little further ahead.
Why Will Scarlet works for me: I'm a writer, minor photo editing only--no photoshop or video, my internet surfing is pretty tame, and my game choices run to the puzzle variety. MS Office and Quicken are about as fancy as I get.
