Acer Aspire One - I had 2 times with the same problem with Skype or MSN, with freezing video and completely block the machine. There are many others who have the same problem if you read the reviews (enter Google = Acer Aspire problem of freezing of Skype). For a Netbook that is a ACER fatal problem and do nothing. Avoid like the plague.

great, for what it is! For a 10-inch netbook, has done its job. PROS Lakes webcam microphone works perfect for our video chats with Skype. Bright clear display. CONS small speakers / audio and a simple reminder, no CD-ROM.

Wireless card is not better than other options seems good, but very low. Speakers very low. The rest is ok.

I bought 3 Acer. When the unit died during the first six months, I thought it was just a fluke. Now the number 2 is on the same road of death. It starts with the first hard drive to make a strong breath of death, which in turn becomes a constant buzz. So, either you can not establish a network connection or becomes so slow that you think it is still online. Cameras price is dandy and certainly are cute, but casts a longer lifespan. Invest in something a little 'more expensive to find the most "exciting to buy a new computer every six months.

I bought this Acer exactly the same target, since it was 199.00. This is the lowest price around. Other places were selling at a cost of 250.00 and more. (Wal-Mart was sold for $ 225.) This is the case with the N270 processor and 1GB of RAM. N280 netbooks Other processors can have sounds and 1.66 GHz (thus, not much faster). You can remedy this by upgrading the RAM to 2 GB and that's what I did when I came back. It will cost "about $ 50us. I bought a Kingston. There is only one slot, then you must buy a module with 2 GB of memory. It 'definitely worth it. Trying to sell the 1 GB on Craigslist.

The update is super easy. I am a total beginner. (Acers before - it was very difficult, but the newer models). I did it in less than 10 minutes. I found a site that had video and it was so simple. (Thus, for $ 250, I have a significant economic secondary computer), I have 3 websites and I open Windows Media content to listen to radio. I also played some vidoes - very fast and smooth streaming video. Absolutely no problem. The speakers are beautiful. I do not know if I have kept the memory of 1 GB, if it were that easy. I have no problem receiving Getting Wifi. The size of the keyboard is 88% of desktop keyboards of other netbooks, which are 92%. (So this could be a problem for people with big fingers).

Mabye some people have tried to upgrade to Windows 7. XP, but it works very well. If you update - then definitely get 2GB of RAM and circumvention "of Windows 7 Starter - no sentence. It would be 5 stars but the resolution is 1024x600 pixels (with most of the netbooks). However, it would be nice if the resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. For those who want to know the model has no Bluetooth. Remember - THEY DO NOT NetBooks a CD / DVD. Conclusion: This computer very good for the price. as a secondary computer for email, for the work that is limited definitely worth it.
