The HP Mini is an excellent choice. Very very portable. The keys are more or less like a standard laptop, so you can actually type on it. Despite its size, is quite robust. After examining the Acer when you shop online, but chose HP because it causes the anti-reflective screen. The Acers were almost mirror-like finish, that when used outdoors or in a car, causing an unbearable brilliance, making it almost impossible to use. I also went to 3-cell battery, which is much more compact than the 6 cell - because the race was not the most important thing for me, but I have more than 3 hours on a full charge with 3 cells.
Things to keep in mind - not to create a single CD / DVD (although you can add an external USB hard drive), the screen is smaller than a traditional laptop, but you can connect a large screen in the construction of the VGA port . I use a 22 inch widescreen at home and the resolution was very good. The iSight is very convenient. However, the device comes with Bluetooth, so I added a dwarf Nexxt Bluetooth (very small device that can be left to prepare drinks in one case. I also added a keyboard and a wireless mouse every time you use the house.
A tip - be sure to use backup software supplied with the unit of a backup system. This should be done immediately, and can be repeated when you add the software and apply patches / updates. I used to fear taking a laptop when traveling, especially on vacation, so my iPhone has been the way of booking hotels, etc. ... Now, with the HP Mini and WiFi, I have a functional laptop without most of the time. The LED on the front and the unit is functional and good looks too. There is an ethernet port, if you want the wired network connectivity, and SD slot, and audio / MIC connectors. Finally, I am surprised by the decent performance - the early start, and the applications that I use as an office and some engineering programs work very well.

When I need a netbook, I returned home with an Acer. The keyboard looks a little 'cheap and the glow of the screen to watch the video very difficult. What has been sold and replaced by this model. The vertical resolution is 24 pixels less than the Acer, but the struggle against the glare made for her. Overall, this is a great little machine. One thing people is to improve the memory to 2 GB, simply unscrew the plate on the bottom and put in a new DIMM.
