The size of the Acer Aspire One is ideal for portability. The keyboard is easy to work and the screen is reasonable to read, I just wish it would be faster. This car is seriously slow! I can go faster on my 13 years old office. It probably has something to do with all that junk mail is loaded on it before doing so. However, if you're like me, you're not an engineer or tech-head, you just want to use a computer out-of-the-box, and do not want to analyze or spending hours trying to understand how little gazillion to go faster, then this machine is not for you.

We bought this netbook in September. We do not use it for heavy calculations, such as image analysis, because the processor is not appropriate for this. However, it has excellent performance for less demanding tasks. Battery life is described, it is surprisingly light, the screen is better than expected, and the keyboard is perfect for large fingers. Frozen twice while we were with Firefox, we suspect that the browser is the problem. The display does not light, but a compromise on quality.

This is my first mini that I bought to replace my big bulky Dell laptop. Wrong not to love my laptop, but not very protable. The HD screen on my Acer is very clear. I also read the fine print. When I had the laptop, as the freezing after about an hour. I called Acer and they gave me a code number of the service. I sent the seller Reap and took her back with a new hard drive, a week later. By far the best customer service I enounterd yet. Signed a very happy customer. PS Amazon is great customer service and
